IIB ECBDP

IIB Executive Coaching Business Development Programme™

Build your coaching practice with the Institute's evidence-based coaching framework.

The IIB evidence-based coaching framework
Evidence-based coaching refers to "the intelligent and conscientious use of best current knowledge integrated with practitioner expertise in making decisions about how to deliver coaching to individual coaching clients and in designing and teaching coach training programs" (Grant & Stober, 2006).
The Institute provides theoretical framework, practical skills, critical thinking, and methodological rigour that the coach can use to navigate the complex nature of the coaching intervention.

Executive Coaches
Every different type of business background is represented within the IIB Almni™ - the network of accredited Associates. However, the one thing that Executive Coaches have in common, who have undertaken the ECBDP and graduated from the IIB Residential Coaching School, is experience. All come from positions such as Chief Executive, Managing Director or Executive Board Director. Having run some of the biggest companies in the world, many have also started, run and sold their own businesses. They have all been coaching and coached.

Selection, Training and Accreditation
In order to become an IIB Executive Coach, executives must pass through the Institute's selection procedure, and then successfully complete the IIB Executive Coaching Business Development Programme™ (ECBDP). This training provides executives with an evidence-based framework and methodology in order to provide their own professional coaching and advice that works— particularly to management of independent business executives.
Upon graduation from the IIB Residential Coaching School, Executive Coaches are qualified to provide the unique IIB Business Coaching Programme™, and may promote their accreditation as shown by the IIB logo on their business stationery.

Continual Professional Development and the IIB Extranet
Further tuition and training at National and International Conferences, Workshops, Regional Group meetings, Seminars, Webinars, and Newsletters provide ongoing support to keep accredited Associates (such as Executive Coaches) up to date. The Associates' extranet allows availability to an invaluable global network of expertise, advice and information for all accredited Coaches & Associates to tap into as and when their clients need specialist support.
